The past weekend New York City saw a large influx of colorful characters from movies, comic book series, and even pop culture. Comic Con is an annual conference that celebrates all that is geek chic. Patrons from all over come as ‘cosplayers’ or costume players, dressed in their favorite character from pop culture, movies, and TV series. The convention offers fans panels with actors from several shows and movies who can interact with the fans face to face. More than 100,000 people have attended the New York Comic Con during the last four days, and many of the attendees have been “mini-Comic Cons” who are little ones that have come dressed as their favorite (or their parent’s favorite) sci-fi, fantasy, horror, or comic book character.
