Like many of our clients, Jessica Simpson had humble beginnings and big dreams that she hoped would one day come to fruition. The eldest daughter of a homemaker and a minister, Simpson began singing in the local baptist church. At the age of 12, she auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club, but was unsuccessful. Soon after, she worked with an acting and vocal coach, yet she still suffered with stage fright. That following year she was signed to a gospel record label that ultimately went bankrupt. While some may have given up after these unfortunate events, Simpson held on to her goals. At 16, she met with record executive Tommy Mottola and was immediately given a record deal. Today, Simpson is a married mother of two with her own clothing line and a hugely successful career.
